In one month to the day, Maxime, an MSc 2 Sports Marketing & Management student, will be at the start of the Nice Ironman!
Find out more about his career and the adventure that awaits him on June 16, 2024 in the interview below:
Hello Maxime, can you introduce yourself?
My name is Maxime AIRAULT and I’m a final-year MSc student in Sports Marketing & Management at INSEEC MSc Paris, which I’m doing on a work-study basis with EDF, in the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games department. I’ve always been passionate about sport, but I’ve been more serious about running and triathlon for the past two years. What drives me on a daily basis is taking up challenges, whether sporting or professional, discovering new fields, learning or sharing. I’ve also been an ambassador for the school for two years.
Can you tell us what’s in store for you?
The plan is to complete the Nice Ironman, a long-distance triathlon. The aim is to complete a 3.8km swim in the Mediterranean, a 180km bike ride in the hinterland of Nice and then a marathon (42.195km) on the Promenade des Anglais, all on Sunday June 16! The investment required to prepare for this race helps to develop qualities that are more widely found in the professional world or at school: being organized to train in all three sports, maintaining a discipline that ensures you don’t miss a training session, being determined and not letting your goal out of sight. It’s this correlation that makes me want to carry the school’s colors and values high during the race!
Can you tell us about your MSc?
The MSc in Sports Marketing & Management is offered on a sandwich course basis, providing both a theoretical approach and professional experience in a company, which is a major asset in today’s niche sports sector. It is possible to study on the Paris, Rennes, Bordeaux, Lyon or Chambéry campuses. We study various fields such as Sports Marketing, Sports Communication, Hospitality, Television Rights in Sport, Public Relations, Management of Sports Organizations, Sport Retails, Sports Betting, CSR in Sport, Sports Law and Brand Management. Our trainers are professionals who bring their expertise to bear, working for well-known organizations such as Paris Saint-Germain, Adidas,AS Saint-Etienne, PMU or LOU Rugby , and with whom we have a close relationship. We also sometimes visit iconic venues such as Roland-Garros or the Accor Arena. The Sport program director is Julian DUPRAZ, who can be contacted for more information!
The last word…
A big thank you to INSEEC Msc for the richness of the Sport program and for the support in this project. See you on June 16!
