Corporate Chairs
These initiatives aim to promote academic excellence, research and innovation for all. They are the fruit of a strengthened partnership between our schools and one or more companies, and symbolize the dynamism of relations between the socio-economic world and scientific research. These Chairs, led by the research laboratories of the various schools, possibly in collaboration with other institutions or research organizations, involve one or more industrial partners.
The INSEEC research center has two corporate chairs:
WINE AND SPIRITS” CHAIR
Born in the heart of the Bordeaux vineyards, INSEEC is pursuing its development in wine and spirits with the creation of a chair dedicated to wines and spirits, based on world-renowned expertise. It is headed by Jean-Marie CARDEBAT, a teacher-researcher at INSEEC Grande École Bordeaux.
INSEEC’s Chair of Wine and Spirits aims to develop research on wine and spirits-related themes, proposing innovative ideas and solutions that are visible at regional, national and international levels. Its ambition is to become an international benchmark in applied research into the economics and management of the wine and spirits industry.
Research areas involve all players in the industry along the entire value chain, including public and private institutions whose mission is to enhance the value of the region. The future of the wine business is explored, with particular attention paid to the many issues at stake today (ecological and energy transition, climate, public health, new consumer attitudes, international competition, digitalization, etc.).
Finally, following the model of Think Tanks, this Chair aims to offer partner companies a forward-looking perspective on the future of the industry and international markets. The impact of micro and macroeconomic factors affecting wine supply, demand and prices will be analyzed. The Chair is intended to act as a bridge between academic research and innovative business approaches.
CHAIR IN DIGITAL INNOVATION, DATA SCIENCE & ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
Born of a partnership between INSEEC, CEGID and Esker, the Research Chair in Digital Innovation, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence was created in 2027 to reflect on the appropriation of technologies by individuals, businesses and organizations. Research also focuses on the impact of technologies on individuals, the transformation of professions by these technologies and the reorganization of organizations. Issues linked to societal and environmental transformations, as well as ethical questions in general, are also addressed. The Chair is currently headed by Ishraf ZAOUI, teacher-researcher at the INSEEC BBA.
