The head… and the legs ! Yes, this maxim can perfectly fit Tom Beteille.
” I did my schooling in Aix-en-Provence where I grew up. I obtained an Economic and Social Baccalaureate with a sports-study course. (I joined the professional water polo team of Aix-en-Provence at the age of 17 ). I then did a first year of economics and management in the academy of Aix-Marseille. I didn’t like it and couldn’t reconcile the two, introduces Tom as a preamble.
He joined the Savoie region, and the club of Aix-les-Bains in the second division. While continuing his training at CESNI as part of his Bachelor 3, which was specially designed for the occasion.
Since this year, he has joined the INSEEC SPORT programs, in MSc 1 Sport Management.
” I have always been attracted to the operation of a club or the organization of events . I’m often impressed by the way sport can be a unifying force. This strength of being able to bring together people from different backgrounds and worlds.
Intrigued, I wanted to discover this professional environment and the actors who allow the implementation of sports competitions, as well as the life of sport in general.
The fact that I am continuing my Master’s degree in work-study at INSEEC also allows me to carry out my threefold project: to graduate with an MSc2, to be a high-level athlete, and finally to join a company to discover the professional world.”
Tom is delighted with the program, which allows him to be in direct contact with experienced speakers.
Club Development and Communications Officer
On a daily basis, as part of his work-study program, Tom can discover the development and communication aspects of his structure, the Aix-les-Bains swimming club.
” My missions are the search for partners and sponsors, the competitive intelligence, communication on social networks and website and finally the organization of various events. I’m also a player, so I have to practice twice a day when possible. I have to organize and manage my time to be able to do everything at once, says the one who wishes to become a professional player in the short and medium term.
” But if it doesn’t work out, I would like to integrate a sports structure on the communication part or a position of sports director in a club or an association. ”
This sports enthusiast has a lot of ideas!
Mature and professional, Tom puts everything on his side. Like a real fish in water.
