Shanghai University of Sport, partner of INSEEC’s MSc & MBA programs, hosting the students of the MSc International Sport Management
The sports economy never stops and only grows from year to year. In France, it weighed 11.69 billion euros in 2019, all disciplines, marketing products and related sectors combined (health, well-being, etc.). On a global scale, sport alone represents 2% of the world’s GDP! And because sport pursues a general collective interest and consolidates international exchanges in political, economic and fraternal terms, it seems essential that future marketing and communication professionals preparing to evolve in the sports market of tomorrow be aware of the high stakes involved at the international level. The Master of Science International Sport Management that we are launching in September 2020 on the INSEEC Paris campus meets this objective.
Opening in September 2020
A brand new program taking advantage of the preparations for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games to be held in Paris, the Master of Science International Sport Management aims to train professionals ready to invest in sports marketing. Accessible after a baccalaureate (bac+3 or bac+4) or the MSc1 Sport Management, this 100% English program has the particularity of being completed in a maximum of 15 months, including a mandatory internship. This is why the MSc is accessible from the bac+3 level.
An internationally oriented course: 2 terms in London and Shanghai
Delivered entirely in English, the MSc International Sport Management program is structured around 3 terms:
The first term runs from October to December and takes place in France on the Paris campus.
The 2nd term takes place in the heart of London from January to March on the INSEEC U campus.
Finally, the last term invites students to fly to Shanghai, China from April to June, where the
Shanghai University of Sport
our partner, will welcome them.
From sport marketing to management, including soft skills workshops and consulting missions for companies, the program is sufficiently varied to allow students to grasp all the issues of sport business and sport marketing on an international scale. Professionals from all horizons and all nationalities will come to deliver their knowledge to the students.
In addition, students will be invited to work on practical cases to perfect their knowledge and confront the realities of the market. Numerous professional visits will also be offered during the three terms so that students can make the most of the culture and living environment of the cities they will be visiting. All of this is put in place so that students develop strong management and sport marketing and business skills.
Offering students the opportunity to study in London and Shanghai will place them at the heart of the current international economic issues in the sports economy. London is a city extremely focused on the stadium economy and China, a very conservative and politicized country, is becoming an increasingly important player on the international sports scene. It is a real opportunity for our students to meet the cultures and professionals who make the current economy work.
Internship and practical information
Once the three terms are completed, students must then complete a 6-month internship in a company related to the world of sports. It is strongly recommended to do this internship abroad in order to benefit from the international framework of the Master of Science 2 International Sport Management. The Career Center MSc & MBA of INSEEC Paris can assist students in their internship search.
Due to the format of the program, it is not possible to do it in alternation.
Like all INSEEC MSc & MBA programs, the MSc International Sport Management is accessible through VAE (Validation of Acquired Experience).
