Joris Mermoud is currently studying for an MSc 2 in Sports Marketing & Management at the INSEEC U. campus in Chambéry. He is also fully integrated into the French Tennis Federation as assistant project manager for the development of tennis practice. The student opens the doors of the court for us.
Sport runs in the veins of the Mermoud family. A father referee of soccer and tennis, volunteer in many sports structures, bringing his son on the various competitions from his youngest age.
It is not surprising then to see the offspring Joris hooked and eager to work in this exciting sector of activity.
” I have always had a desire to follow a program related to my passion for sports,” he introduces.
“Following my BAC ES in 2016, I entered the DUT GEA (Business and Administration Management) at the IUT of Annecy.
I wanted to have a global vision of the different fields of activity within a company. The second year of my DUT allowed me to specialize in management, marketing and communication.
After my DUT GEA, I decided to continue my studies in BAC+3 Sport Business atINSEEC in Chambéry. Then in MSc Marketing & Management of Sport. ”
A choice that allowed him to gain skills and experience through contact with professionals in the sector.
” I had the opportunity to specialize in my chosen field while developing many skills with industry professionals. The possibility of doing a work-study program during the two years of the Master’s program was also a major factor in my final decision. This pace allowed me to combine theory and practice. “
Fully integrated into the TFF
As part of the MSc2, Joris joined the ranks of the French Tennis Federation.
” I am an assistant project manager for the development of tennis practice. My role is to develop the practice of tennis on the national territory through the design and deployment of various projects. While having a transverse management of them.
My main missions within the FFT are to contribute to the national deployment of various action plans. For example, Women’s Tennis, Wellness Tennis or School Tennis.
Since September 2020, I have been involved in the national deployment of the “From the Court to the Court” program, in conjunction with Tennis Scolaire. This program is designed to introduce tennis to children starting in kindergarten. Finally, for each of the themes identified above, I collaborate in the animation of the network of territorial referents. ”
Rich and varied missions for a student-employee. Joris is committed and motivated to continue the adventure within one of the most prestigious federations.
” Following my Master’s degree, I would like to continue my adventure within the FFT in the Tennis Development Department. I am fully satisfied in my current position. It would be a real opportunity if my wish came true. “
