Coaching discovery workshops during the month of April – Special admission interview, internship/work placement search

Home » All our news » Coaching discovery workshops during the month of April – Special admission interview, internship/work placement search

There are questions that students regularly ask institutions in search of information: “How does the admission interview go? What questions can I ask?” or “Do you help students find an internship or work-study program? We are answering these questions in every way possible, including our briefings that are currently held via video conference, but in this time of containment, we want to go further. Indeed, we know that the search for information on training is complicated at the moment.

During the month of April, INSEEC MSc & MBA Paris offers two types of discovery workshops in videoconference: coaching for the admission interview and coaching to find an internship or work-study program.

In this way, we hope to give as many students as possible the opportunity to discover more about our school from different angles than the usual open house. During this period, applications are of course still open and admission interviews and workshops are held by videoconference.

1. The discovery workshop special coaching interview: advice to prepare for the admission interview of our school

This first discovery workshop that we offer is led by a long-time speaker of our school: Julien Gantheret. He teaches in our Communication, Marketing and Digital courses on the Paris campus.

Our school’s admission interview takes place with a jury composed of a professor and one of our alumni. At this point, the jury evaluates the candidate’s motivation, professional project and level of English. The academic prerequisites have already been validated at the eligibility stage.

This interview is crucial in our admission process: it allows us to better understand the candidate’s professional project and to verify that it is in line with the training program(s) to which he/she is applying. Indeed, candidates must keep in mind that their training has only one purpose: the realization of their professional project.

Julien Gantheret, during this workshop, will give all the necessary advice (from posture to speech) to candidates who wish to better prepare for the admission interview of our school.

WORKSHOP DATES :

  • Saturday, April 4 at 11 a.m.
  • Friday, April 10 at 5:30 pm
  • Next date to be determined

Please note: Future dates are open for registration once the last workshop has passed.

2. The discovery workshop special coaching for internship or work-study

The title of this second workshop we are offering this month speaks for itself. The training advisors of our school’s Pôle Accompagnement on the Paris campus, which is attached to our Career Center, provide advice to help our school’s candidates and future students in their search for a long-term internship or work-study program (apprenticeship or professionalization contract).

This discovery workshop will allow our school’s candidates to discover the backstage of our Career Center and the Pôle Accompagnement. Aude Kebe, in charge of corporate relations at our school, presents the program:

” These workshops, which we have organized in 7 sessions throughout the month of April, will allow us to address several themes and exercises. The first exercise that we tackle is the search for a work-study program or an internship, which requires to be particularly rigorous in its steps and to master certain essential elements, namely: an attractive CV as well as a LinkedIn profile by indicating the good establishment as well as by putting the good logo of the school.  The second point we will address is the construction of a clear professional project. The last point that we will also work on during these workshops is oral communication and self-confidence. “

Students will also be able to ask all their questions about how the Support Unit works and the means deployed to assist them in their search for an internship or work-study program.
