Tony Razafinjohany is in his third year of the INSEEC Bachelor’s program on the Lyon campus. He opted for a major in Marketing and Development and looks back on this year spent at school and then in the company.
What has been your educational background up to now?
Before entering the 3rd year Bachelor program, I did a DUT GEA. I chose this bachelor’s degree and this specialization for marketing, which for me is a strategic field in business, for its very general aspect but also for the “development” aspect that inspired me.
What do you think is the added value of the Bachelor INSEEC ? What was the most important moment of your training?
The strong points of the school are the group work, the pedagogy but especially the projects that mark the year. In particular, I had the chance to participate in the Victoires de l’Innovation where our team project on the theme of the Smartcity won first prize. This experience allowed me and my team to pitch our project in front of more than 2,000 people at the Lyon Auditorium. An incredible experience!
Where do you do your internship at the end of the3rd year of the Bachelor program? What are your missions?
I am currently doing an internship in Mersen, a large French company specialized in electrical and advanced materials as a business development assistant. I am responsible for analyzing data and determining business strategies.
What do you plan to do after your Bachelor? Why this choice?
After my Bachelor’s degree, I will join the MSc Business Management of INSEEC U., a program that will allow me to have all the bases to understand the company and its workings, as well as the financial, marketing and strategic aspects. Then I’m thinking of doing an MSc 2 Consulting and Business Development. Eventually, I would like to become a management consultant. This path seems to me the most relevant to reach my goals.
