Currently on campus in Chicago for 8 weeks, Marion, a 2nd year INSEEC Bachelor student, tells us about her American experience. At the prestigious Harrington College of Design, she takes courses built in collaboration with the teaching staff on site and in perfect harmony with the American Dream.

Why did you choose to move to Chicago?
M.: For many years I have been attracted to the United States! In addition, these weeks in Chicago allows me to perfect my English while discovering the different ways of life in the states I have had the opportunity to visit.
What are your impressions of American culture?
I find the people to be generous and very welcoming!
How are the courses in Chicago? Which course(s) do you enjoy?
Classes in Chicago are daily, but we have a three-day weekend to allow us to visit the city and more.
The course I enjoy the most isArchitecture & the City, it allows us to visit Chicago and get a first hand feel for the place we are studying.
How did you find accommodation?
With my friends we found an accommodation via the American network AirBnB which is very useful for all our travels!
What must-see place(s) would you recommend to your classmates?
I absolutely advise them to visit the Willis Tower with its glass platform, the view on the Loop from the Alder Planetarium, the view of the city from the top of the Hancock Tower and Michigan Avenue from Cloud Gate to the Water Tower.
