Solicited by the prestigious Club des Sports de Chamonix Mont Blanc, a hundred 1st year BACHELOR and 2nd year BACHELOR students from the INSEEC U. Chambéry Campus recently responded!
This was done in order to perfect the organization and logistics of the Kandahar, the mythical race of the Men’s Alpine Skiing World Cup.
In great shape! With smiles on their faces, wrapped up in their “INSEEC” sweaters and corporate down jackets, the ninety students made it possible for an international sporting event to take place in perfect conditions.
Tim Giudicelli, an “alumnus” of the INSEEC U. Chambéry campus, supervised the Bachelors. Tim is currently the Events Assistant at the Chamonix Mont Blanc Sports Club.
“This student body helped us tremendously during the event! They were divided into three different areas, corresponding to three public spaces. Their missions consisted mainly of reception, ticket control and orientation. During the two days, we also asked them to intervene punctually on filtering, access control. And also other missions according to the needs of the site. Their good mood and their flexibility on the field made us proud! It was a pleasure to have them at our side during the event! Thank you to them”.
An unfailing know-how
The students came back exhausted! And delighted to have been able to act collectively and individually to carry their school’s colors high. They were able to instill good humor, agility and the codes of hospitality (in event management, we call it hospitality)!
The first-year students particularly enjoyed going “behind the scenes” of a major event. Between organization, planning, management, communication and public relations.
“Everything we’ve learned about interpersonal communication suddenly makes sense. It’s very exciting,” said one of the class reps.
