The MSc Start-Up and Digital Transformation training to support students with a business creation project…but not only!

The Start-Up & Digital Transformation program aims to train entrepreneurs, strategy and/ or organization consultants, project managers or business managers in the field of digital transformation. Indeed, digital transformation today concerns all sectors and meets very important future needs as part of the evolution of a company. 

This program is aimed at learners wishing to acquire strategic, managerial, financial, business and entrepreneurial skills. The training meets the requirements of versatility and global decision-making when a company is developing or undergoing digital transformation that impacts human resources decisions as well, marketing and communication systems. The curriculum also brings real added value both in terms of business development and business. This program thus meets the needs of businesses in order to adapt their business model, approach and development to today’s world.

Programme objectives

The skills objectives are to be able to: 

  • Design and implement the strategic orientations of the company/organization;

The prerequisites requested

The conditions for accessing the certification system (excluding VAE) are:

  • For entry into the 4th year (MSc1): hold a level 6 RNCP qualification and/or have validated the equivalent of 180 ECTS validated in a course equivalent to the field concerned.
  • For entry into the 5th year (MSc2): hold a level 6 RNCP qualification and/or have validated the equivalent of 240 ECTS acquired in a course equivalent to the field concerned.

1st year courses

PROFESSIONAL METHODS AND PRACTICES – 1ST YEAR

BUSINESS ENGLISH

Perfect comprehension and communication techniques in English in a financial and legal context. Students are required to take the TOEIC following their host campus.

SOFTWARE & TOOLS FOR DECISION SUPPORT

This module aims to deepen the skills of computer science students to meet the demand of companies in terms of budget or commercial monitoring, project management, personnel management and communication: Excel, Word, Powerpoint,
team tools, business software. It aims to be efficient on office tools, quickly identify and correct errors, customize existing tools or create your own tools.

BUDGET MANAGEMENT & DASHBOARDS

The aim is to acquire the key skills in terms of budget management and reporting. Particular emphasis will be placed on the budget architecture, with the implementation of summary documents, project management control and its link with budget management, implementation and steering of dashboards.

PROFESSIONAL TOOLS & METHODS

This module allows learners to improve their CV and posture through situations (business game, professional simulation, speaking, etc.); practical and professional workshops (CV, professional social networks, coaching, etc.) as well as business and master class conferences.

BUSINESS STRATEGY & BUSINESS PLAN

This module aims to learn the realization of a Business Plan or business plan: design of costed project of creation or business development. Several steps are discussed: feasibility study, market targeting, opportunities and risks, strengths and weaknesses, communication, financing plan and profitability.

NEGOTIATION

This seminar focuses on negotiation in a national and international context. It will be necessary to take into account The European Union has a role to play in international negotiations. National negotiation will focus on the sales process through role play.

ORGANISATIONAL AUDIT

The objective of this module is to understand the contribution of the function of different business units in the development and transformation of organizations. At the end of this course, the learner must know the main performance indicators, be able to represent the main processes globally as well as understand the internal and external audit mechanisms related to the functioning of the organization as a whole.

TECHAWAY : DATA PROCESSING & GENAI

Apply skills to create, format and manipulate data in Google Sheets, using more complex functions and formulas. Learn the principles of message engineering and their impact on AI responses..

CHANGE MANAGEMENT & ORGANISATIONAL PROCESS

Every company is experiencing changes that are the cornerstone of its development and maintenance in its target market. In this context, the management team is at the heart of the process and the change process. This module aims to understand the change of the organization in depth and its impact on the expected managerial posture. Thus, the understanding of the organizational culture and the company will be discussed, based on the sociological daisy, the typology of approach to be engaged according to the context, the change curve and the roles of the manager.

IA & DATA MANAGEMENT

This course allows to acquire the fundamentals of artificial intelligence techniques (machine learning, deep learning, etc.), to develop knowledge and skills in data management (analysis, visualization, etc.) and to have an overview of the main actors and professions in this field.

DIGITAL PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Starting from the development of a group project, the module addresses the techniques and tools for organizing and structuring a digital project in order to optimize costs, determine and meet deadlines. Learners will draw up a risk map in order to anticipate them and reduce their potential impacts in terms of costs, lead times and the final quality of the project. The module will also focus on giving learners elements to optimize interactions within the project team and facilitate the achievement of its objectives.

HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT & TRANSFORMATION

Analyze strategies related to change management. Evaluate changes in representations and assessments of the stakes of the different actors. Identify resistance to change and promote stakeholder involvement.

MANAGEMENT & LEADERSHIP

The objective of this module is to enable learners to integrate management variables into their diversity and understand the different types of management in order to be able to manage a team effectively and without conflict. At the end of this course, the learner must be able to know the different types of management, recognize a conflict situation and manage it, identify its own functioning and motivate its team effectively.

METHOD & CONDUCT OF INNOVATION

This course aims to give a theoretical and practical overview of the main methods for generating innovation (Design Thinking, Lean method, etc.). The main obstacles to innovation will be discussed from a managerial and organizational point of view.

INFORMATION SYSTEM ORGANISATION & MANAGEMENT

This module aims to understand the business ecosystem (Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, ERP, CRM, Database, IoT, Cybersecurity, etc.).
In an ever-changing context, the management of Information Systems becomes a strategic and central element of business management. At the end of this module, the learners will be able to drive decisions related to the governance of an IS.

FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT

This module aims to teach learners the global concepts of financial strategy and business management. Learners will be able to understand the expectations of the general management and the financial managers through the concepts and the targeted financial language. The development of dashboards and performance indicators will allow the transmission of accounting and financial data related to the strategic management of the company.

STATISTICS & MARKETING DATA

This module allows you to understand statistics and data from a marketing perspective. From collecting data to using it to improve decision-making will be discussed.

MARKETING & SALES STRATEGY

Analyze and understand all the elements influencing strategic decisions in the context of a new product launch, penetration of a new market, or modification of competition. Master market analysis tools: demand, competition, products, environment.

BUSINESS STRATEGY

START UP & MARKET APPROACH

This introductory module presents the fundamentals of business creation (business plan, financing, recruitment, etc.), marketing applied to start-ups and their development.

CONSULTING & AUDITING IN COMPANIES

Through this module, learners master the different phases of auditing in companies and integrate good practices in terms of consulting.

 

ERP DEVELOPMENT AND INTEGRATION

This module allows you to discover the development environment of web and mobile applications in order to know which/which to implement according to your organization and your ERP.

SUPPORT FOR ORGANIZATIONS & DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

Digital transformation involves changes in the habits and habits of companies. This course therefore makes it possible to identify the challenges of digitization, including the relevance of the solutions proposed, the adoption by users in order to optimize the ease of adoption and the return on investment in terms of economic, financial, commercial performance, image or quality.

ACCOUNTING & FINANCIAL ANALYSIS

The knowledge acquired during this module will enable you to master the accounting system as well as the components of the balance sheet and income statement. The key concepts are income formation, fixed assets, current operations (VAT); reductions, personnel costs, stocks or borrowing. The course will draw on case studies to facilitate understanding through an approach that combines theory and practice. The final objective of this module is to introduce learners to the financial analysis of a company. The financial analysis will focus on the analysis of activity (control of the intermediate management balance (MIS), self-financing capacity (CIF)). But also in the analysis of the financial structure (balance sheet operations, operations, cash flow, supplements).

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT & MANAGEMENT TOOLS

The first part of the course focuses on the analysis of a company’s accounts. In order to control performance, it will be necessary to determine the reference costs to assess and optimize its performance. It is also about being able to create or implement a dashboard, to manage your business, to finally optimize indicators and anticipate financial deadlines.

PROJECT FINANCING & BUDGET MANAGEMENT

This module allows to master the problem of budget management including:

  • budget architecture with implementation of summary documents;
  • project management control and its link with budget management;
  • managing dashboards and reporting. In parallel, the principles of project financing will also be presented, including the following competencies:
  • establish and monitor a budget and financing plan;
  • set up cost accounting;
  • calculate the profitability of a project;
  • analyze a file from a business plan
  • establishment of a pre-study to lead to the investment committee.

VENTURE CAPITAL & BUSINESS PLAN

How to carry out a business plan to raise funds: demonstrate the existence of the market, the growth potential, define the desired capital contributions and the participation of the funders in the capital.

CRM & STRATEGIC ISSUES

This module aims to allow learners to understand what customer relationship management is and to know the main data management platforms. This will include being able to collect and analyze relevant data to understand its users and create actionable databases; setting up effective loyalty programs; and finally to know how to choose and implement the right CRM tool in your organization.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & COMPLEX SALES

Master the techniques of approach and preparation for trading with major accounts. Collect and analyze customer information to better understand it. Identify stakeholders in the decision-making process.

MARKETING & INNOVATION MANAGEMENT

Innovation management requires knowing the different phases of an innovation project and setting up the right human resources. It also involves knowing the respective roles of the project manager, the financial and documentary aspects of a project until its launch.

NEW METHODS OF ORGANIZATION

This module provides the opportunity to learn the skills needed to implement innovative organisational methods. The programme covers:

  • Traditional organization methods: students learn to master classical organization methods, such as Kanban method, Scrum method, etc.
  • Innovative organizational methods: students learn to implement innovative organizational methods, such as Agile method, Lean method, etc. The objective is to Implement innovative organizational methods in order to improve efficiency and team productivity, managing complex projects and driving change.

CHANGE MANAGEMENT

IS projects are at the heart of innovation and generally cause a disruption of business processes and a change in user practices. Change management aims to facilitate the acceptance of changes induced by the implementation of a new project and to reduce the factors of rejection. This will cover the missions of the project team, the involvement of users and different levels of management, the identification of operational managers and key players as well as the different tools and their implementation conditions.

PROFESSIONAL TOOLS & METHODS

This module makes it possible to appropriate the methods and tools covered during the training and to ensure their integration and good implementation by the learners.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Set up project and team management. Taking into account the techniques used and measuring the return on investment in the management of such projects. Define and negotiate cost, quality and lead time objectives. Organize a project (OBS) and define responsibilities and tasks. Lead a project and manage human and financial resources. Smooth resources. Break down a project (WBS, PBS). Set up a Data Management Platform.

APPLIED RESEARCH PAPER

The applied research thesis aims to develop analytical skills and reflection around a managerial issue. It is an opportunity to demonstrate rigour in the analysis of a problem or managerial issue and the formulation of operational recommendations. The research thesis is the reflection of the research work and is articulated in three highlights: literature review, qualitative and/ or quantitative study and its results, managerial recommendations.In parallel, the principles of project financing will also be presented, including the following competencies:

AGILE METHODS & SPRINT DESIGN

Lead and monitor a Data project from its design to its evaluation (REX), organize and inspire collective intelligence through collaborative methodologies, master and drive change in organizations for innovative marketing: agile methods (Scrum, Design Thinking, etc.). This seminar allows to implement agile project management through the Design Sprint method. Learners can test this method in real time and immerse themselves in the heart of a project.

TECHAWAY : DATA VISUALISATION & DATA ANALYSIS

Apply Looker for data mining, reporting, and dashboard creation. Understand the fundamentals of UX (user experience) and UI (user interface) design, including design principles and user-centric design.

DATA MANAGEMENT & RGPD

Monitor and analyze online data that is most relevant to business activity. Identify the right information, at the right time and place, to improve decision-making and optimize organizational performance. Choose the appropriate tools for understand and capitalize on this new reality. Anticipate market and customer behavior changes. Data Mining applied to Customer Intelligence. Implement a Customer Intelligence project in a company.

WEB STRATEGY

This module addresses the issues around the audience of a website (also called Web Analytics) to quantify the traffic of a site based on indicators such as the number of unique visitors, pages viewed, visits, the average length of visits etc. Campaign plan. Development and animation of the paper catalogue. Design and marketing of digital catalogues.
Personalization systems. Dual distribution, integrated communication and sales promotion. Multi-channel cultures and organization. Transposition and adaptation of merchandising techniques to the web.

2 start dates per year and varying study rhythms

There are two openings per year, in February/March and September/October. To check the opening of each intake, contact the admissions department directly.

The pace of the course may differ from campus to campus and depending on whether the course is carried out under an internship agreement (initial) or a professionalization/apprenticeship contract (continuing).

The work-study contract must be signed for a period of 12 months (MSc2) or 24 months (MSc1 + MSc2).

What business skills are developed?

The objectives in terms of skills are:

  • Design and implement the strategic orientations of the company/organization;
  • Lead the financial strategy;
  • Lead the marketing and sales strategy;
  • Manage the teams.
  • In addition to these common skill sets, there is the following optional sectoral specialisation:
  • Lead and implement a business project in the digital field.
  • Description of the procedures for acquiring certification by capitalization of skill blocks and/or by correspondence, certification is obtained:
  • Validation of four skill blocks common to all pathways and one specialization block based on the candidate’s pathway (score of 10/20 or higher in each competency block);
  • Completion of a period of 132 days minimum on the second year of the course (MSc 2).

Professional certification of «Manager of Companies and Organizations», code NSF 310, issued by the INSEEC MSc (CEE-SO, CEE-RA, CEFAS, MBA INSTITUTE), registered under number 36493 in the RNCP (National Directory of Professional Certifications) on the decision of the Director General of France Compétences of 1 June 2022.

The validation of the certification is obtained by the capitalization of four blocks of competences common to all the courses as well as a block of specialization according to the course of the candidate. It is also accessible through the Validation of Acquired Experience.
