From the retail sector to the technical recruitment sector, and now Talent Sourcing & Recruiting Specialist in the pharmaceutical sector, Jean-Baptiste, 32 years old, tells us about his unusual career path.
He owes his professional origins to the Inseec Bachelor’s degree, then to a Master’s degree, completed in a work-study program (Sales Management and Project Management major), a super-professional choice of course!
After two years in the Graduate Program at Carrefour as a junior manager, a meeting with his former Bachelor’s Director led to his joining Page Personnel, a brand of the Page group dedicated to the recruitment of young graduates up to middle management.
” Recruitment is not only about human resources, on the contrary, the job is composed of 60% of sales, 30% of candidate selection and 10% of negotiation, in order to offer a quality service to clients and candidates alike.
” The recruitment sector in Switzerland is an exciting playground, offering a very rich and dense economic fabric. We find the top players in the pharmaceutical, watchmaking or banking sector for example, and this attracts young potentials from all over Europe! Retail and Recruitment have common values: organic growth and meritocracy (the fact and the chance to grow from the fruits of one’s labor).
Jean Baptiste never stayed more than two years in one position; he started as a Consultant, then Senior Consultant, then Managing Consultant, before finishing as manager of two divisions.
In order to continue working on his skills and to give a more strategic dimension to his career, Jean-Baptiste then entered the Pharmaceutical sector as a Specialist, Talent Sourcing & Recruiting.
” My job today? is the strategic approach to identifying, attracting and integrating talent while responding pragmatically and consistently to business needs.
FromInseec, Jean-Baptiste retains one essential thing: the netwok, a true career vector.
“Inseec has a network and teaches us to develop it, which is a real plus.
His motto: If your dreams don’t scare you, they are not big enough!
